Refurbishment & Extensions to John Paul College in Kalgoorlie WA

This project started more than 12 months ago with the initial consultation between Wespray and the architects to work out the best solution for reviving the old concrete surfaces.
The colours and a textured finish were chosen by the school to complement the surrounding upgrades and modernization.
The last process was the liaising with the construction company, travel the 600km to Kalgoorlie, and the application of the cement resurfacing to the old existing concrete floors.

The process involves some grinding of rough and worn surfaces, filling and repairing the cracks and defective concreted areas. Acid wash and high-pressure cleaning followed by the application of the slip reducing cement resurfacing coats. Flecks or speckles are added for more appeal followed by the clear protective sealer coats.
